Dr. Omar is the Chief Research Officer and founder of BeLeaf Pharma. Dr. Omar is a pioneer and an expert in the field of Greco-Arab medicine and herbal medicine pharmacology. Dr. Omar has published numerous scientific publications in pharmacology and other fields, and is a recognized expert on the translation of ancient manuscripts. Dr. Omar holds a Doctor of Science degree in Pharmacology.
With over 15 years of sales and management experience, Craig joined the BeLeaf Pharma team in 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer. Involved since the beginning, Craig has played a role in every aspect of building BeLeaf Pharma to where it is today. From overseeing international operations, supply chain management, and product design to licensing, legal, and marketing.
Dr Fulder is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of medicinal plants and indigenous medicine. Dr Fulder holds a degree in biochemistry from Oxford University and a doctorate on gerontology from the National Institute of Medical Research in London, England. Dr. Fulder has written 11 books on herbs and has published many scientific papers.
With a PHD in Pharmacology, Matej has a lot of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has held various positions including senior management in pharmaceutical drug companies as well as being the General Manager of JAZMP, the regulator body for Slovenia.
Professor of cell biology and immunology at the Arab American University in Jenin, PA and acts as director of the Qasemi Research Center – Al Qasemi Academic College. His research interests include anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties of medicinal plants. He is the author of the first academic book about Arab and Islamic herbal medicine published by John Wiley in 2011. He is a member of the editorial board of Evidence-based Alternative and Complementary Medicine (eCAM).
Muhamad Abbas, B. Sc., has spent his career as an environmental researcher and advisor in the field of life sciences and environmental protection. With a passion for environmental focused regulations, Muhamad brings a fresh perspective to the BeLeaf team as he oversees product regulations regionally.
Dr. Ahmad Yazbak is a leading senior researcher at the R&D center in Isreal and for the past 3 years, has project managed a regional cooperation project funded by a $ 1 million grant from USAID focusing on acting Olive Mill Wastewater in the Middle East. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Dr. Yazbak has published numerous works focusing on chemical synthesis and the use of chemistry in alternative medicine
Professor Iyad Khamaysi currently directs the Advanced Endoscopy Unit for the Department of Gastroenterology at the Rambam Health Care Campus. Throughout his career, Professor Khamaysi has thoroughly explored the field of Gastroenterology and has become an industry-leading instructor within the field.
Professor Khamaysi is a member of numerous national and international medical societies including the Israel Medical Association, Israeli Association of Gastroenterology (IGA), American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE). He also serves as a scientific consultant for numerous hospitals, medical centers, and medical start-up companies.
Riyad Amin is a professor of biochemistry and has 40 years of experience in clinical biochemistry. He graduated from the Medical School, Hebrew University, and has served as a professor of biochemistry for 22 years at Birzeit University, where he taught and conducted research in metabolic biochemistry. While at Birzeit, Riyad has served as Chairman of the Biochemistry Department and later the Dean of Sciences. He also served as Assistant to the President for academic development and international relations. After taking up his Fulbright Award in 1987 to pursue clinical research at the Navy Hospital in Bethesda, Riyad spent two years continuing his research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, USA. In 1997 he moved to the Medical School at Alquds University where he spent 18 years serving as Chairman of the Biochemistry Department and later as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Professions. His research concentrates on natural products and disease management. During his career Riyad participated in three clinical trials in the United States as Sub-Investigator evaluating the safety and efficacy of various drugs for treating: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Hypertension and eight trials in the West Bank as Principal Investigator testing the anti-diabetic and hypo-lipidemic effects of new food supplements on human subjects.
